How to Stop Burnout at Work for High Performers

How do you keep your high performer from burning out in YOUR work environment?

There are many consultants out there trying to help you have a high performance team. This isn’t what your high performers need. They are naturally going to perform. It’s innately who they are.

What they need to learn is to create balance in their work environment so they can continue to perform consistently. That’s where the leadership comes in.

High performers are invaluable to your company.
You know this and you want to retain them.

High performers are good at what they do – they strive for excellence. They often get more tasks delegated to them because they’ll somehow produce and get it done.
They even volunteer to do more because it helps them feel more successful. They’re the ones that will pick up the slack of other team members who are not optimally performing (I like to call these workers the mooches of the high performers).

And high performers see what needs to get done and they do it.
They will try and do it all, it’s what they naturally do.

But eventually they will hit their breaking point.
You may recognize this as someone being forced to take sick leave because of an acute illness, sustaining an injury, personal reasons that impact the quality of their work and ultimately burnout aka stress leave.

Because your high performer will be forced to take time away from work to heal and they are inherently driven, they will hit their breaking point more than once until they realize how to create a sustainable work/life balance.

As a Spiritual Medium and Energy Strategist, I know what is driving your high performer to overwork until they reach burnout. I’ve driven myself to burnout twice in my career, because that’s what high performers do when they’re not in balance.

2 Causes for High Performer Burnout in the Work Environment

Part of the problem is what I call their Success Wound™, their endless drive to do more, where they prove their worth and more. And this WILL push them to their breaking point.
It’s also the work environment that encourages a high performer to overwork and burnout.
I can talk to high performers all day about what to do to create sustainable work/life balance, but part of what has to change is in the work environment.

How to STOP Burnout in the Work Environment
Step 1 – Recognize your high performers.

Stop letting them overwork and not compensating them more than the other workers for it. This is what leads to them feeling bitter and resentful and moving to another company.

Give them credit for going above and beyond, rewards for taking on extra tasks. You can give them extra vacation time or personal days, a company trip or bonuses for all that they’ve done.

Make them feel seen, heard and appreciated. They need this from the company and their leaders. They’re actively looking for recognition. Give it to them. They are your best performers and you want them to stay and be healthy.

Step 2 – Stop overworking them.

I don’t know a single high performer whose workload is doable. This is why they overwork, to get it done. It can’t be done in their typical work hours, so they have to come in early, work late and work through lunch. Please stop.

You know that their workload is already full. If you give them more to do because you know they’ll do it, this is part of the problem that leads them to burnout. This doesn’t just happen one time. It’s every week, for months with no end in sight.

I’ve had clients tell me,”It’s just until we hire my replacement that I have to do both jobs.” Or, “They can’t find anyone to help me, so I have to get it done.”

My high performing clients are getting more tasks and assignments that aren’t possible to complete in their set work hours. This isn’t the high performers problem that you’re short staffed or the other workers aren’t doing their work. But overworking and taking on all this extra work is how they burnout.

Step 3 – Honor their time AWAY from work. They need to recharge. They give 200% at work everyday and often still check emails and messages in their off hours – because you give it to them. STOP.

You pay them to work certain hours and they work really hard for you. Encourage them to not check company emails and messages by NOT sending them. Let them rest and recharge in their not scheduled work time so they continue to have the energy and health to be the high performers that they are.

Create the Change for Your High Performers in the Company Culture

We like to blame the high performer for burning out:

They didn’t know when to stop working.
They love to overwork.
We were surprised to hear their marriage fell apart?
We were surprised to hear they were struggling with alcohol.
We offer them beverages, snacks and even lunch.
This is bigger than the high performer and their Success Wound.

If you look at the company culture, how do you encourage your high performer to overwork? How many of your high performers are sick, have relationship problems or even worse – don’t have a life outside of work.

The high performers will perform. They are innately driven by their Success Wound.

As a balanced high performer that helps other high performers create a sustainable work/life balance, we have to address the problems in the work environment that encourage and expect this overworked and over driven behavior to their literal breaking point.

High performers are your most valuable and innovative workers. You want to retain them at your company and you don’t want to pay for sick leave due to burnout.

Am I an Empath? What is an Empath & How it Affects You

I feel everything. I am highly sensitive and the people I’m around drain me. Am I an Empath?

This is a very popular question.

Claiming to be an empath right now seems to give you permission to get stuck in exhaustion and overwhelm by picking up on everyone’s energy without any support or boundaries – but it doesn’t have to be that way.

As a Spiritual Medium, I personally feel the energy of the people around me as if it’s my own energy. It allows me to balance and align your energy BUT I’m always on. I have to be able to function in society and so do you.

If I’m always on and have found a way to stop absorbing all the energies of everyone and everything around me – so can you.

If you’re busy absorbing and feeling all the feels of everyone around you – then you don’t have the energy to make yourself a priority and this video is for you.

First of all, YES. You are an empath. Every single person is an empath. Some people are just more open than others. Some people have shut off their empathic abilities because they were too overwhelming to deal with or because of something that has happened and they don’t want to feel it all anymore.

Now that you know that you ARE an empath, What is an empath?

The definition of an empath from Oxford Languages is: a person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual.

An empath has the intuitive ability to pick up on the energy of others that are around you. You’ll know how they’re feeling, what energy they’re giving off and if you want to be around them or not. Every living thing on the Earth gives off energy and as humans, you have the ability to read that energy.

The best examples of being an empath are when you can meet someone and know if you like them or not. You can walk into a room of strangers and know who you want to sit with and who you don’t. You can look at someone and know if they’re in a good space or if they’re in a bad space.

You are an energetic being reading the energy around you. But just because you can read it doesn’t mean you have to take it on. You can just read it.

As an empath, You do not have to personally take on all the energy and let it affect you.

Remember this – you are made up of energy. And because you are made up of energy, you are able to read the energy of every living thing and the energy every living thing has given off. Even though you can read the energy, that doesn’t mean you have to do anything with the energy.

As you know, I’m a Spiritual Medium and I LIVE in energy all day, everyday. I have no off switch. Everywhere I go, I’m able to read people’s energy, their past lives, their fears, patterns, beliefs and so much more and I’ve been doing this my whole entire life. I know that what I experience is even more heightened than most people but you won’t ever see me ever walking around saying, “Oh my gosh, I’m so exhausted I’m an empath and I take on all the energy around me.”

I learned a long time ago that just because I can read someone’s energy, doesn’t mean I should. Especially if I’m not working with them and I don’t have their permission to help them. Most people don’t want to be helped. They want to be as they are, even if they’re complaining.

I realized decades ago that if I take on someone else’s energy, I just doubled the energy. Let that sink in. When have you picked up on someone’s energy and still had it after seeing them?

If you take on someone else’s energy, you’re carrying that weight for them. You took on their energy. They will get out of your energy by leaving your space and they’ll actually look around for their baggage – the stuff you just picked up from them to “help them out”. They’ll realize something is missing and they want their baggage back. It’s theirs. It’s like a comfy sweater to them – until it’s not and they’re ready to let it go. The moment they put their baggage back on, the energy has now DOUBLED. You have it and they have it.

How did the energy double?

This is really important for you to be aware of.

When they took their energy back, you were still carrying it. You took it on as your own to “help” them without their permission. You didn’t consciously give the energy back to them. Most likely, you didn’t do a thing with the energy except pick it up and carry it and now you’re just feeling the weight of it. So in that moment, the energy doubled. You made a conscious choice to hold the energy for them for whatever reason. They wanted it back so they pulled the energy back to them instantly. Instantly. But you’re not aware of this and so you’re also still holding it because you made a decision to carry that energy for them.

Now, both of you are carrying this energy unconsciously. They’re fine with the weight of the energy they’re carrying but you’re not. You struggle carrying it because it isn’t yours. You have your own weight that you carry, that you think of as your own comfy sweater. From an energy standpoint, your baggage is your sweater and the baggage you just took on from someone else is a backpack that sits on top of your sweater.

It’s too much. You will feel the weight of the energy. It will lead you to feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and stuck. And this is an example of your encounter with just one person.

Imagine going into Costco the week of a major holiday and all the backpacks you carry unintentionally. Or think about the energy you’d pick up after a day at an amusement park or a crowded venue. It’s too much. You cannot keep picking up other people’s baggage. It doesn’t serve you. It actually slows you down and holds you back.

You can READ the energy without picking up and carrying the energy. You can notice that they feel off, sad or that they’re struggling. Most people are struggling and that’s ok. That is what they are choosing to do and until they choose to do something differently, you cannot help them.

Being an empath does not mean you have to be exhausted. It means that you have to be consciously aware of the energy you are allowing into your energy space. You have to be picky. You can’t just allow any energy into your space and if you do, you have to know how to not let it affect you.

Being an empath is not new.

What is new is talking about energy and that you can pick up on or read someone else’s energy.

Yes you are an empath. You have the ability to sense energy. Everybody does. What’s important is are you picking up everyone’s energy just because you can? When you do this, you want to ask yourself, why are you allowing your energy to get entangled and pulled down with the energy around you. Remember – this does not support you or help them. It hurts you.

Start paying attention to what you’re allowing into your energy space.

I cannot tell you how many people come up to me telling me they are exhausted and overwhelmed from everyone else’s energy. But what this tells me is that you need boundaries around HOW you’re using your energy.

Here are some good boundaries for you going forward:

1. You can read other’s energy and not do anything with it. It isn’t yours to handle anyhow.

2. If someone doesn’t ask you for help, they probably don’t want help. If you offer to help someone and they don’t want it, that’s fine. Respect that they don’t need help and you can let them be in their experience as they would like to be.

3. Do NOT carry other people’s energy. It doesn’t help them and it hurts you. It doubles the energy and you don’t want to double negative energy anymore.

Focusing on other people’s energy is a distraction for you. It keeps you from having the time and energy to do the things you really want to do.

How do you KNOW if you are taking on someone else’s energy?

The key is to catch it in the moment. To feel yourself FEELING their energy. It will lower your energy vibration. It’s like using any of your devices, when you start to drain the device, the energy will lower. The same is true for you.

Instead of saying I’m an empath, I feel all the feels and it’s exhausting. Know that you can be an empath and be grounded and balanced no matter what is happening around you. You can be better at your work and relationships because you can tell that someone is off or in a good place. You can read the energy without having to do anything with the energy. This will allow you to stay focused on what you need to do.

Together ALL the Time Now? 8 Tips to Create a Happy Home Environment

You’ve been together more than ever before in your relationship. The access to all your usual activities has been altered which means you’ve been stuck at home together and you’re noticing all the problems. Has the house gotten smaller? Have they always gotten on your nerves and pushed your buttons? What new hobbies can they take up? Or better yet, what can you do to get away? There is a new stress on your relationship that being together all the time has brought to the forefront and it’s not working.

Here’s the thing about relationship problems, they don’t disappear if you don’t FIX them. They actually grow and often spiral out of control, creating new problems that make you wonder how you even got to that point. To take the stress off your relationship, start by effectively addressing the problems together with your partner.

Communicating your problems and needs isn’t always easy, but it is harder to fix this later because it’s grown out of proportion. Most people are not mind readers. This means that you can hint, tell others in the hopes they’ll tell your partner, or criticize them and hope for a magical change but it’s not going to happen. They are not a mind reader! To create a change in your relationship, you must communicate and tell them exactly what you would like to see happening. The clearer you are, the more likely you’ll see it happen.

Reduce the Stress in Your Relationship by:

  1. Getting Clear – Get objective by going for a walk, doing a meditation, writing or yoga. What is at the root of the problems in your relationship right now? When did the problems start? How often are they appearing? What can you do to create a change and what can your partner do?
  2. Creating a Space to Talk – Talking to your partner is just as important as the space you talk to your partner in. This isn’t something you want to do before bed, when they’re in the middle of something, or when there are distractions around. You may even want to let them know you’d like to talk so they can gather their talking points as well and not feel ambushed. If you both come together with solutions and willing to make changes, it’ll be a smooth conversation. Choose an environment and setting that feels safe for both of you. Pick a time that allows you ample time for the discussion where you will be uninterrupted.
  3. Talking to Your Partner – This is the thing you don’t want to do, but this is how you take the stress off your relationship and move forward. The key to successful communication is to be clear, honest and focused on your goal of healing the relationship problems. Have specific examples of what is bothering you and specific outcomes on what they can do to alleviate the problem. There will be compromise on both sides. Commit to taking action on the things you both agree to do. Make sure to heal what has to heal in this conversation so neither of you feels they have to bring it up again.
  4. Supporting the Changes – Make sure you create a way that you can support and hold each other accountable. It may be by reminding them that they’re doing something in the moment but because they’ve asked you to remind them, it won’t come across as nagging. Or you can make sure that you are doing the things you said you would, which will help self-motivate them to do what they committed to doing. The goal is to keep each other accountable and moving happily forward and to address it right away when either of you feel the need.
  5. Holding Boundaries– Boundaries are important. They let each of you know what is okay and what isn’t. Your partner should know what your boundaries are and you should know theirs. If you haven’t talked about this, make sure you do. What was okay for a past relationship, may not be okay for this one – but they will only know that when you tell them what your boundaries are. Make sure you honor each other’s boundaries and communicate any problems immediately.
  6. Having More Fun – Schedule in more date nights, self-care and spontaneity. You may try new things or schedule in more things you both enjoy. Focus on doing things that bring you joy individually and as a couple. The better place you are in energetically, the better you’ll show up in your relationship. Ask yourself, “What will bring me joy this week?” and do it!
  7. Practicing Gratitude – How often do you thank your partner or let them know you like something they have done? What you focus on, you attract to you. Most couples focus on the things that aren’t working, but it’s a game changer to focus on the things that are working. One of the most important things you can do in your relationship is let your partner know what you are grateful for. It can be doing the dishes, doing an errand or for making steps towards the change you’ve asked them to make. “Thank you” goes a long way when it’s sincere and coming from a place of gratitude.
  8. Staying Present – One of the biggest mistakes in relationships is that one or both of you don’t let things go. Do not hold onto past problems – heal them, solve them and let them go. Really let them go so they disappear and you have peace with that situation. In a disagreement, only talk about current problems. If you or they keep bringing up the past, it feels toxic and stuck. Focus on this moment and making the most out of it together. This moment creates your next, so if you are in a good place, you’ll keep creating good experiences.

No one wants to be around someone that is unhappy and it’s even worse when they don’t know why you’re unhappy. Being together all the time will amplify the problems you were able to escape or ignore before but they were still there. You just were focusing your energy and time on other things and this has brought them to the forefront.

If you find yourself complaining about your partner, you’re irritated by everything your partner is doing or you’re thinking about ending the relationship because of the problems you’re not discussing, that’s your sign that you really need to have a talk, right away.

Stop hiding from the stress and problems in your relationship and heal it. The only way to go forward together is to stop looking backwards. By communicating your concerns and problems you stop making bigger problems. The faster you address a problem, the better everyone will feel.

From Stressed to Thriving: Getting to the ROOT of Your Stress

What stresses you out? (You know this!)

What do you DO about it? (Typically nothing – but… you could really use a vacation to reset.) But going on vacation isn’t a change. Sometimes it’s a break from the grind, but often you’re still working on vacation or thinking about it. And when you come back from your getaway – you go right back to doing the same thing. Being stressed!

This is the problem – you know what causes you stress and you keep doing the same thing. Hopefully you don’t expect a different result because if you don’t make a change, nothing changes.

While you can justify all the stress in your life that’s negatively affecting everything, there will come a time when you can’t. Where this isn’t working anymore. It’s what I call your breaking point.

Stress leads to overwhelm, anxiety, exhaustion, health problems and burn out. It hurts you and your relationships. You know this, but you have to do ____ and stress is just a part of it, right? NO!

Stress is a sign that you are pushing yourself at YOUR capacity. Your whole being feels this stress and it’s telling you something has to change. You will see the results of your stress in your relationships, eating, sleeping, your health, your actions, your thoughts, your beliefs, your patterns and more.

Stress will take you down. There is no medal for struggling through each day. So why do you keep doing it? Insert – it’s familiar, I have to, I don’t know what else to do. Also insert – this isn’t working anymore. Time for something NEW.

I Don’t Like How I Feel

You’ll feel like a completely different person when you’re stressed, like something is taking over you. From an energy standpoint, that MEANS that something else has energetically taken over you. You won’t like how you feel and you’ll feel like you’re out of control.

Think of it as you saying, “I can’t do this myself.” And an energy (typically negative because you aren’t in a good space energetically when you do this) will step in and literally take over. Once you’ve given an energy permission to do that, it will easily slip in and feed on that negative energy and it becomes a pattern.

The problem is you’re not in control when another energy steps into your vibration like that. You literally hand over your keys.

What to do:

  1. Clear the energy.
  2. When you feel like you can’t do something, let go of that belief in that moment and say, “I am supported. Everything works out in the best way possible for everyone involved.”
  3. Do the inner work every day, throughout the day to reduce your stress. Energy work helps you calm, balance and align your energy. It’s amazing!
  4. Create more BALANCE in your life. The more in balance you are, the better you will feel, the less negativity you will bring into your life.

You should ALWAYS feel like you. If you don’t, you are handing your energy and power over. That doesn’t help you, that creates more problems for you and adds to unnecessary struggling. As a Spiritual Medium, I cannot stress the importance of standing in your power enough. You don’t need any more negativity in your life: I am free. I stand in my power.

How to Stop Your Stress Patterns

You know what adds to your stress, what will tip you over the edge and when you’ve pushed yourself too far. Once you’re in the stress, it’s harder to pull yourself out of it but you can’t stay in the stress for long without getting sick or an injury.

As a successful woman, the key to not getting STUCK, no matter how stressful your job or life is and to ideally catch yourself before you go into your stress patterns:

  • Have an inner work practice in place every day, throughout the day that helps calm, balance and align your energy
  • Say no to things that you don’t want to do or have to do
  • Create a life-work balance
  • Take breaks, lunches and 2 days off a week (the hustle is not sustainable)
  • Get plenty of sleep each night, not the bare minimum (game changer!!!)
  • Hire support to help you stay in balance

Remember, it is easier to keep yourself out of stress than it is to pull yourself out of it when you’re stuck in it. Your patterns are strong, you don’t even think about them – you just keep repeating them.

Reset NOW- Rewrite Your Story

What’s your STORY?

The one you tell yourself on REPEAT that holds you back and keeps you from truly loving your life?

Perhaps it’s, “I’ll be happy after I crush this next goal.” Or, “My relationships don’t last because they keep ________.” Or, “I want to do fun things but I don’t have the time.”

Your story is an old pattern that you PULL into your life, usually when things are going well. It gives you permission to self-sabotage and pull yourself out of the abundance you are receiving. And it keeps you from loving this amazing life you’ve been so busy creating.

This old story doesn’t have to guide you anymore – unless you like being stuck and frustrated that nothing is changing – you have the power to create a new story.

How to Rewrite Your Story

You can’t create a new result with the old story. You have to let the old story go and write a new one and when something comes up where you’d tell yourself the old story, you have to tell yourself your new story instead.

  • What is your story?
  • What happens when you tell yourself this story?
  • What would you like to happen instead?

When things are going well and you start to fall into old patterns and start to self-sabotage:

  1. STOP immediately. Catch yourself in the pattern and release it by saying, “I’m not doing this anymore.” Let the past go. You can take what you learned from the experience WITHOUT carrying the energy of the experience.
  2. Focus on what is working well and be truly grateful for the amazing experiences that are happening in your life right now – like the thing you were just trying to self-sabotage. Being grateful brings you into the present moment and this is where your power is. Right here, right now!
  3. Shift the energy that is creating your experiences. Create an energy practice to help you reduce your stress and have more balance. Energy affects everything. The better place you are in energetically, the less likely this old story will appear.
  4. Rewrite your NEW story. When that old story appears, this is what you do:

Appreciate your experience, everything happens for a reason:

When __________happened, it was a journey for me to ____________. I am grateful for this experience. I let it go and I am free. Now I will only tell my NEW version of the story.

My NEW story is:

Because of ____________ (my experience) it allowed me to ___________ (grow, stand in my power, express myself, etc.). I am stronger because of this experience and now I can _______ (what good came to you because of your experience).

I am____________.

Going forward, focus on the positive from the experience. What you learned, what skills you now take with you, and how you are a better person because of this. If any negativity comes up, you have more clearing and letting go to do until you can tell the story without falling back onto the pain, hurt, etc.

What new story will you write today?

Just because you’ve been following an old story doesn’t mean it is the right story for you anymore. You can shift and create a new story for any scenario in your life at any time. All you have to do is be ready!

A Spiritual Medium’s Guide: How to BREAK FREE from a Long Term Relationship

Leaving a long-term relationship is not easy. It’s not something you do lightly.

You can’t eat. You can’t sleep. You cry all the time. You feel like you’re letting them down. You’re letting the family down. You feel guilty for the relationship ending.

Chances are you have done everything you can think of – even things recommended to you to make this relationship WORK – not end. You’ve done the self-help books, seen a therapist, and maybe even tried some energy work, meditation and yoga. Yet here you are – at a place where you feel stuck and don’t know how to do what you have to do.

What you didn’t want to do – leave this relationship of ___ years.

It’s hard. I know, I have helped so many women through relationship endings I can’t even give you a number. I have heard all the reasons that make it hard:

  • You don’t want to start over.
  • You don’t know what to do next or what the future looks like.
  • You have responsibilities.
  • You don’t want to lose your money or retirement.
  • This ending makes you feel like a failure (but remember, relationships take 2 active participants!)

Usually you will hit your breaking point – a point where you have done all you can and it is time to move on in your relationship with your spouse or partner of __ years.

Most relationships do not last a lifetime. They have a season. When that season is getting ready to end on a relationship, it can throw you into a tailspin and leave you feeling stuck and completely out of balance. Sometimes for decades but it doesn’t have to be that way.

How You Get Stuck

Even if the relationship is bad for you and you know it’s no longer a fit, it is hard to move on for many reasons:

You are emotionally attached to your relationship.

You’ve been together for __ years. Even if you leave, you find yourself emotionally stuck, recreating the exact same relationship with someone else or so hurt from the experience that you cling onto it years, even decades later.

My client’s have left relationships after 10 years and 20 years and they didn’t think they could do it even though they wanted to and now they are LOVING their lives. They are doing things they love, they’re starting to date and they are so happy they left. They cannot believe the transformation. The longer you prolong the inevitable you keep yourself from living a life you will love.

It’s familiar.

Even though it’s broken, it’s safe. You know EXACTLY what to expect.

You know the patterns, the routines and you have hoped for so long that something would change and it would get better. Even if the relationship was emotionally abusive, it’s familiar.

It’s a vicious cycle. Even when you leave, you still hope for a change in the other person that doesn’t come. If they haven’t changed, they aren’t going to. No one changes until they are READY and chances are they aren’t changing anytime soon.

You’re afraid.

There are so many fears – being alone, the financial implications, moving, boundaries, the unknown, what will this person think, how will this affect ___.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard from clients, “I don’t want to give them my money.” This statement will REALLY hold you back for years and then health issues will start to appear. I’ve seen it time and time again. I’ve helped clients realize that the more money they make, the more they can truly live the life they envisioned. Don’t focus on them. Focus on YOU and YOU being FREE!

Or “I take care of them, what will they do?” They are an adult. I promise you, they will figure it out. Taking care of them is what their parents did, not your responsibility as a partner. They will eat, get their laundry done, they will figure it out like the adult that they are.

Change is hard.

This is going to be a big change and you probably don’t like change but remember, life is a series of changes from the moment you are born. Nothing freezes in time. Change is all around you.

Even when you say you like changes, you don’t mean changes like this. You mean starting a new job. Buying a new car. Buying a new house. Fun changes.

I had a client that loved changes, she told me all the time until she left her husband. Then change was hard and she hated it. But luckily they both worked with me through the relationship transition and they’ve both moved on to create new lives that they love. He even went off to have the baby he always wanted and he’s engaged.

Change happens to help you create something NEW. I wrote a whole book on change with exercises to support you and keep you moving forward. Remember what’s harder than change, staying where you are. It can stifle you.

Eventually you will reach a point where it is harder for you to stay than it is for you to go.

And this is the moment you are ready and where I have decades of experience with clients using my intuitive abilities as a Spiritual Medium and I can support you in creating a life you LOVE again.

How to Transition OUT of Your Relationship

You have to be READY. Ready for help. Ready to leave. Ready for new and exciting possibilities.

You have to actually LEAVE. Wanting to leave and talking about leaving are not the same as actually leaving. If you are afraid to leave or are unsure what to do, get help. Especially in abusive situations, having support is key.

Drama is not the answer!! I see this ALL the time. Drama will hold you connected to this person energetically in this life and others (karma) and it will keep you from moving forward, being free and bringing in new opportunities. Remain as calm, peaceful and objective as possible.

The moment you are ready, you can dissolve the relationship and both of you can get back to creating a new life. One that you will both love.

Here’s what I teach my clients to do in the relationship:

  1. Stand in your power When you stand in your power, you will feel better and create a life that you love. This is especially important for my clients that have left emotionally abusive relationships. Handing over your power leaves you helpless and out of control but once you recognize the patterns and start to stand in your power, you will love your life again.
  2. Break the patterns. If you don’t break the patterns, you will keep creating the same situations with different people. The goal is to stop doing what got you into this situation and not recreate it ever again with another partner. Otherwise, there really is no point in leaving. Break the patterns!
  3. Drawing and enforcing boundaries are key. They tell people what is okay and what isn’t. If you don’t draw boundaries, they don’t know. The majority of the population cannot read your mind. Boundaries aren’t bad and they don’t make you mean. They are necessary and help you stand in your power. Boundaries have been a game changer for my clients.
  4. Energy work is vital to helping you stay in balance and in a good space energetically. The practice I teach all my clients is easy, has amazing results and doesn’t take a lot of time.
  5. Start living a life that you LOVE. Remember that vision you had for yourself? It’s time to start taking steps towards that vision. You have that vision for a reason. Step into it and let go of the past. Learn from the past, don’t live in the past.
  6. Create new, fulfilling relationships. Don’t sit at home alone with a bottle of wine, that will make you depressed. Surround yourself with people that lift you up and you lift up as well. Also, say goodbye to any other relationships that are no longer a fit, this is common when a relationship comes to an end. As you change, your friends change.

While a relationship coming to an end may seem like a failure, it’s not. Everything happens when and as it should. Remember, you tried EVERYTHING you could to make it work.

It’s the beginning of something new. You did the best you could, with what you had at the time. Stop judgement. Stop any blame. Be accountable and keep moving forward.

When you have tried everything you could to fix it all but no matter what you do, you feel it is time to END the relationship it’s important to not only free yourself, but them as well.

I have helped countless women end relationships and create a life that they love. They didn’t think it was possible and now they look back at how far they’ve come and they are GRATEFUL they left. Now they LOVE their life. You can too!

From Exhausted to Energized: How Working with a Spiritual Medium Changed Everything

As a Spiritual Medium, most of my clients come to me when they’re at their breaking point. You know – when what you’re doing is physically no longer working, you don’t know what to do and something HAS to change right NOW.

I started working with one of my private clients (that I am keeping anonymous, like I do all of my private clients) a little over two years ago. She wasn’t new to healers or energy work. She was building her business but that was all she was doing – working ALL the time.

She wasn’t spending time with her family, she wasn’t taking care of her body and dating was completely out of the picture.

She was stuck in a vicious cycle of feast or famine and didn’t have the time or energy to change the patterns she was stuck in.

We Began to Heal her Success Wound

The first thing we did was address the Generational Patterns from her mom that were energetically driving her but no longer serving her and feeding her Success Wound. She was proving “I am love”, “I am worthy” and “I am enough” in every area of her life. This came off as her being needy and clingy. She wasn’t attracting abundance, quality clients or men.

Her mom was never around and she was creating the same environment for her kids.

We created boundaries around the hours she would work, a process to only attract in perfect clients, created a schedule for her to workout, time for her to spend with family and friends, vacations at times in each quarter where she could actually get away and she started DATING someone she was intuitively introduced to and magnetically drawn to.

But the REAL changes came from the energy work. I helped her get on her best path and cleared and reprogramed her energy once a week in her private session. She has been to all my live events in the last year that have helped her up-level in a group environment.

She has learned how to balance her energy and specific energy work and abundance practices that she does every day. This has shifted the clients she now attracts and she has a thriving business AND a lifestyle she loves.

5 Things You Should NOT Casually Ask a Spiritual Medium

You are so tempted to know what we’re seeing, reading, feeling and what we KNOW.

I get it but it takes energy for a Medium to tune in, read it and explain it to you.

One question is NEVER just one question.

I guarantee you’ll have a pile of questions, the venue is not appropriate for the work we do and you are not honoring our career, energy or time.

Remember, this is what the Medium gets PAID to do.

You’re asking for it for free and that is not okay from anyone ever. It’s like going up to a doctor at a restaurant with his family and asking him for a diagnosis. Then for a treatment protocol. Then another diagnosis and so on.

When you randomly ask a Spiritual Medium or any Medium these questions you are not respecting that this is their work and what they get paid to do. So PLEASE stop casually asking these questions!

The 5 Things You Should NOT Casually Ask a Spiritual Medium:

#1 How’s my energy?

Don’t do it! If you have to ask, your energy is not on point.

If you are in a good place with your energy, you KNOW.

When you’re in a bad place and you ask, this tells us you’re not going to do anything with our reading anyhow, so there is no point in answering.

If you really want us to read your energy, help you get it aligned and get you on your best path, hire us! Asking this question outside of a session isn’t going to get the results you want anyhow.

#2 Are there any spirits around me?

YES.

Every time I get asked that question it draws spirits around you immediately. Especially when the spirit has been trying to show itself to you and you haven’t been able to recognize it.

Outside a session, this is not a question to ask as it will stir up things for you, guaranteed and make you CRY!

Again, this is something that has to be done in session, where you feel safe and supported so you can heal and connect with your loved ones that have crossed over. Not at a party. Not when you meet a Medium and you’re not working with them. Only in session.

#3 Am I on the right path?

Look at #1 again! If you are asking this, you are not honoring a Medium’s time. How can we easily and quickly answer this question? We can’t.

If you are being really honest, you know if you’re on your path or not. You don’t need anyone to tell you. You feel the answer in your energy, mood, finances, and overall joy of life.

Don’t ask questions you already know the answer to. We can help you with so much, let’s work on the bigger stuff and actually get you on your right path.

#4 Is there anything you want to tell me?

The answer to this is NO!

If I wanted to tell you something, I would have been guided to do it in a very light and gentle way already. You don’t have to ask, we are guided.

Mediums are ALWAYS on. We don’t have an off switch. We read the energy of the event before we decide to go, the energy of the room and your energy before you even talk to us.

If we aren’t working with you in a session or we haven’t already said something we were guided to say, we aren’t going to voluntarily offer a reading – even if you ask us. Remember, our work takes a lot of energy.

#5 What do you think about __________?

These are questions for sessions only! Yes I can read your energy. Yes I know the answer in a second.

But they will trigger things in you and it shouldn’t be done outside of a session.

This is going to lead to a ton of questions, just like everything above this.

Instead, pay to work with me and the results will be beyond anything you expected. But you won’t get that just randomly asking the questions above. Especially since those situations are not private, quiet and don’t allow you to do the work as deeply.

I am confident that I speak for all the Mediums and Psychics in your life. If you want the answers, hire the support. It is transformational and up-leveling when you work with a Medium that is BORN with their gifts. If they aren’t born with them, they aren’t a Medium.

Note: I offer programs instead of a session here and there because I am here to help you breakthrough old beliefs, balance you energy and up-level your success. I do that by helping you clear, balance and align your energy. When you heal one layer, another layer appears to be healed. You’ve lived millions of lives, one session is only going to address what you’re dealing with at that moment.

My Unique and Untold Career Path as a Spiritual Medium

I was born a Spiritual Medium and it has affected every aspect of my life.

Growing up, I didn’t know a thing about my unique abilities as a Medium, coaching wasn’t around yet and I liked writing but becoming an author wasn’t on my radar.

My current reality wasn’t even an option. It didn’t exist to me!

I knew I wanted to help people heal and it has been a journey to do the work I do today.

How it all began…

When I was in 6th grade, I had to write a paper about what I wanted to do when I grew up.

I remember tuning in to what do I want to be when I grow up in my 6th grade classroom for my paper. I wanted to be a nurse. I immediately saw a Red Cross truck and knew I wanted to go to Europe and help with the war.

That was it. I felt the energy, I was connected to it and I saw it clearly. I was going to be a nurse. Except…

I Was Seeing a Past Life

There was no war when I was in 6th grade for me to go to Europe to support. That should have been a sign to me!

My yearbook is filled with good luck in nursing school messages. I had the grades, I had the drive and ambition but I was seeing another life. Unfortunately, I didn’t know it at the time.

A life where my husband went off to war and I left our kids to join the Red Cross and help the soldiers with the mission of finding my husband. Which I didn’t do – but I did know him in high school in this life – he was fascinated with Germany and I was not interested in dating anyone in the military. Everything comes back around so we can heal and I did.

I went to nursing school thinking I would be a Hospice Nurse and help with the transition during death for everyone involved. It seemed like a perfect fit but there wasn’t much hospice experience and I HATED clinicals.

I would find myself on the bed talking to my patients about what brought them to the hospital, what problems they had in their life and helped them create a plan to get back to the life they originally envisioned.

– None of this was nursing and nurses don’t have time to do this kind of work. They are very overworked on the floor.

Everything Changed in One Exam

In my senior year with TWO classes to go, planning my Hospice Nursing Career and move to San Diego I FAILED my nursing final.

Failing a final is weighted to fail the whole class since it’s all about being prepared for the NCLEX.

Mind you, I was an A/B student. I had never failed a test like this in my life.

As we were walking out of the exam, my study buddy (this is a real thing in nursing school) couldn’t believe I didn’t remember a single question from the test as we had studied it all together and knew all the answers. I remember her looking at me with panic in her eyes.

I told her that during the test I felt like I was floating. I kept hearing, “It’ll be okay.” I remember looking around the room. Wanting to go to the bathroom and not being able to focus on a single question.

I got the results the next day from my study buddy – I failed.

At first I was in shock – but not really. I was more concerned about what I would do now. All of my college classes were nursing school focused.

I didn’t want to wait 2 quarters and retake the class. I was being pulled to live in San Diego and when I really surrendered and tuned in to my work, I saw myself doing coaching work like my aunt was in San Jose.

I left nursing school my senior year much to my family’s dismay and began something they didn’t understand.

Claiming My Abilities & Starting My Career

Looking back, it was CRAZY what I did starting my business in 2002. I listened to what I was being guided to do intuitively and no one could tell me otherwise – although they all tried.

There was no social media and I had just moved across country from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego. I only knew my uncle, his girlfriend and her family. Luckily I was very guided.

When I said I was a coach they asked volleyball or basketball because of my height. Coaching was so new in 2002.

At first I partnered up and was going after work in organizations. But I preferred the individual and supporting them in letting go and clearing their energy.

I finished my degree after beginning again almost from scratch. I got my Bachelors degree from California State University San Marcos and had a 4.0 every semester! My degree focused on communication, sociology and psychology – all subjects relevant to the work I do today.

I stepped into my power, my abilities, I built a clientele basis and a following.

Creating My Programs

After 15 years of a session here, a session there or small mini packages, I was frustrated. The work I was doing wasn’t moving them forward, they were not getting enough to support to move forward. It was more of a fix me right now session.

I realized that in order to truly create the change my clients were seeking and support them, I had to offer packages. While a session made them feel amazing, the programs help them reach their goals and up-level their lives quickly and easily.

You are here and that means you are healing stuff.

Healing layers of old hurt, past lives, family patterns and more is what you are here to do. You’ll clear out some in one session. But when you’re looking at millions of lives and only being able to clear what YOU are ready to heal in this moment, that is not the work of one session here, one session there.

Programs give you the support and scheduled sessions to up-level your energy and your experiences. The shifts are powerful!

Being a Spiritual Medium Today

I don’t come across people in my life that don’t believe in what I do anymore. They exist but they aren’t in my vibration.

I do have family that still isn’t exactly sure what I do and with them I get to be on break. They don’t pull on me or ask anything of me energetically.

My clients however, they are drawn to me.

I have found my path and the nursing education helps me when my clients have health issues to see what is happening physically and energetically.

I am grateful for the experiences that have led me to where I am now. The work I do is powerful and life changing. While I took the career path less traveled, it was exactly what I was guided to do.

Becoming a Spiritual Medium

People are fascinated with mediums – what we see, what we can do, what we know.

Mediums see, feel, know and experience things differently than what society teaches us.

We are your link to remembering your truths, healing, and stepping into your power.

Like other mediums, Spiritual Mediums can communicate with spirits but our work is with energy healing. We have a unique ability to clear, heal and work with energy.

Spiritual Mediums are BORN.

You can’t become a Spiritual Medium with training, energy work and certifications. We come into this life with our intuitive abilities and gifts and become aware of them when it’s time – even though we’re using them before we even know what we’re doing.

We also use our abilities in our special way, so no two mediums are the same. We each have our unique purpose and healing abilities for our people.

Becoming the Spiritual Medium is a journey and it helps us step into our unique abilities. Here is my healing journey…

BECOMING AWARE OF MY ABILITIES

For as long as I can remember, people have told me their problems.

Immediately.

They saw me and began to dump. Family, friends, strangers – it didn’t matter. I always knew what to say or do to help them.

In elementary school, I remember spending my walk to and from school and my playground time with friends that were struggling.

I could see their “situation” like I was watching it on television and I would help them get more objective and create a plan to fix it.

Seeing Spirits and Energy

I didn’t know that I could see spirits or energy until a Paranormal Investigator came to my house when I was 9. She came to put the spirit into White Light and when she came and started talking about the spirit I realized I could see it too.

Immediately a blur of memories shot through my head as I realized I’d been seeing the spirit all along. I had been able to see her. I just didn’t know what it was until someone said this is a spirit. Just like your mind being told this is a table, this is a chair. This is a spirit. Then I could categorize it and do something with it.

It’s the same with energy. This is what White Light is. This is what a curse and negative energy looks like. Until I could label it and categorize it, my mind couldn’t process it but the moment I knew what it was, I could see it all around me and in other people.

The Paranormal Investigator showed me what she did to clear the energy but it was cumbersome and relied on physical artifacts. A seed blessed from a pope. Crystals over doors. While that can work, there are situations where you will be out and not have those things or even worse you’ll lose them and not feel protected.

But if you can believe in the artifacts, you can skip the artifacts and work directly with the energy. I don’t use artifacts and I teach people to do what I do – work directly with the energy.

Energy Basics

Energy responds to energy. Energy shifts quickly and there was a simpler and more powerful way to:

Teaching you how to easily and simply move energy is one of my abilities.

As well as knowing if you actually cleared a space, released a negative energy attached to you, communicated with a spirit or if you have something manipulating your energy. I know because I have the ability to become one with energy and within my body I feel it, sense it, see it and read it. There is no pretending it is gone. I know when it is actually gone.

Energy Healing

I could pick up on what people were feeling, the energy they were giving off and what was wrong. I didn’t understand how to clear energy and reprogram the space until I had my experience with a Mayan Shaman and Reiki Attunements. Then I immediately remembered and knew what to do…

Energy is Stored and Must be Cleared

When I was 20, I did some work with a Mayan Shaman to heal some issues I was holding onto that was directly affecting my relationships.

Immediately once he started to go into my energy, I could see where I was holding energy, beliefs, fears, family stuff, other life experiences and more in my body. I knew what I had to do to release it. I remember looking into the Mayan Shaman’s eyes and knowing that he couldn’t help me. He knew it too.

He was simply there to help me remember. Not only could I do this for myself, but I can physically feel in my body what people are holding onto, why and what they have to do to release it. I feel it in my body until it is clear in theirs.

Refilling with Positive Energy

I was able to turn my abilities off and ignore them until I started my Reiki attunements. With my Reiki 1 Attunement I instantly felt the alignment in my chakra system. It felt like I was connecting and aligning.

I am aware that I am constantly in a beam of light now. I realized the piece missing in the energy clearing was refilling that space with positive energy.

Everything intensified when I went to see some family in California. The moment we arrived at the beach – I was turned on. Permanently. I could see surfers in the water that my boyfriend (now husband) and aunt couldn’t see, I could see the energy around people, the energies they were carrying, what they were thinking, what they were supposed to be doing and weren’t…it was OVERWHELMING.

I reached out to my mom who reached out to the Reiki community to find out what happened to me. They had no idea. Their solution was for me to turn it off!

How could I turn it off? I didn’t turn it on! All I did was go to the beach and in that moment, my life changed forever.

I was aligned and connected in a way I hadn’t been before. I fully stepped into what I am here to do. It led me down a different career path and I had the piece that was missing, refilling with positive energy.

My journey began in my childhood and my awareness of being a Spiritual Medium started when I was 20. My career began later in 2002.
